The Drone Didi Yojana, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 28, 2023, is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering women and enhancing agricultural productivity in India. This ambitious scheme envisions training 1 lakh women over the next five years to operate drones, fostering self-reliance among women while revolutionizing the agricultural sector. The program will be implemented through Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) across the country.
The Drone Didi Yojana will train 15,000 women in drone operation, covering flying, data analysis, and maintenance. Participants will use drones for agricultural tasks like crop monitoring, pest control, and seed sowing, empowering them with technical skills to tackle modern agricultural challenges and foster professional growth.
